IndiaFm: Sanjay Dutt to star in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai
The whole world knows Balaji's Ekta Kapoor and Popcorn Entertainment's Suniel Shetty dote on Sanjay Dutt. To no one's surprise he had been signed by the two mega-producers for one more joint venture. This time it's another gangster flick entitled Once Upon A Time In Mumbai that will take Dutt and his director Milan Luthria through a whole decade of gangsterism in the 1980s.
Revealing details, producer Suniel Shetty says, "Initially we wanted to focus on one aspect of crime and smuggling in the 1980s. Now we're taking into account the whole era and ethos leading up to terrorism and international terrorism in current times."
Sanjay Dutt has played the gangster in 15-20 films including funny ones in David Dhawan's Hum Kissise Kum Nahin and Raju Hirani's Munnabhai.
So why one more? Explains Suniel, "Because Baba really suits the role. And both Ekta and I want him to be a part of the film. Basically, we'd like Baba to do as many films for us as possible. He's in our film Gen Next also. This is the one where the winners of Ekta's reality show Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket will co-star with Baba."
Earlier the plan was to only feature one female and male winner in the film with Dutt. But now Suniel feels the doors should be open to more talent. "Baba feels there can never be too much fresh talent. And Ekta's show goes on for five years. So there will be a lot more fresh talent coming out of the show and into Balaji and Popcorn films."
Suniel has vowed never to act in films which he produces. "It becomes too messy. There's too much looking over the shoulder. Too much anxiety about what's happening behind the scenes."
For now Mission Istaanbul would be the last of Suniel's productions where he plays part. "But it's only a bit role. I've made sure I'm not featured in the publicity. Right now I'm busy as an actor in other people's production."
Suniel is shooting for his first intense love story since Dharmesh Darshan's Dhadkan. "It's a really mature love story directed by Kabir Sadanand called Tum Milo To Sahi and I'm cast opposite Vidya Malvade. In fact as an actor I've two releases coming up in two weeks. After Mission Istaanbul there's Mukbiir on August 1. Both very different films from one another. I don't know why they're being compared."

Football365: Transfer Gossip 30 July 2008
REAL TO GIVE UP ON RONALDO?
A couple of our glorious red-tops this morn are claiming that Real Madrid are about to give up on their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Sun reports that assorted Real board members have urged Ramon Calderon to turn his attentions away from Ronaldo for fear that they will miss out on making other signings, such as Rafael van der Vaart and David Villa.
Van der Vaart is expected to complete a move from Hamburg to Madrid shortly, while Villa is likely to move from the calamitous and financially-crippled Valencia soon.
The Daily Mirror claims similar, with some at Real apparently admitting the deal is not going to happen.
This is news that should leave us all in exhausted relief, but simply means we will have to go through the whole bloody thing again next summer.
ANOTHER ONE IN FOR SPURS
Spurs certainly aren't wasting their time in spending the money so charitably handed over by Liverpool for Robbie Keane.
David Bentley is already in town to be prodded, poked and made to say 'Ahhh' by the White Hart Lane medical staff (more on that one here), and the papers seem pretty convinced that at least one more new boy will be arriving, lickety split.
That man, you won't be surprised to learn, is Andrei Arshavin, who will cost around £19million from Zenit St Petersburg.
Exciting times at the Lane.
FULHAM GO BONKERS
Excuse The Gossip Column's potty mouth, but what the f**k is going on at Fulham?
With Andy Johnson all set to complete a move worth around £13million should the Fulham docs find nothing amiss, The Sun now reckons they're going to splash out on another striker.
The man in question is Stuttgart's Mario Gomez, who despite being absolutely toilet at Euro 2008, scored a dirty great heap of goals in the Bundesliga last term.
If you believe the rag, Roy Hodgson has raided the Harrods coffers to the tune of £15million to fund the deal, which will leave the Cottagers looking in pretty decent shape for next season. Who knew?
COUPLE IN FOR SPARKY
Mark Hughes looks like he's starting to get busy at Manchester Citeh.
He confirmed last night that they are in talks over signing Tal Ben Haim from Chelsea, but now The Daily Mail claims Citeh are about to bid £6million for Liverpool winger Yossi Benayoun, and are toying with bringing Antti Niemi in from Fulham too.
Also, The Daily Mirror reckons Roque Santa Cruz is Sparky's number one transfer target.
COLOCINNI MAKES A FUSS
Crikey. Whoever thought that someone would make such a fuss out of wanting to join Newcastle?
The Independent reports that Deportivo la Coruna defender Fabrizio Coloccini is set to invoke the infamous Webster clause to wangle his way out of the club, after they upped his asking price to £10.5million.
Ah, here's the reason. Colocinni's agent, a Mr Marcelo Lombilla told AS:
"(Club president Augusto) Lendoiro has to face up to the music and it is that he should not have asked for more from anyone. For Coloccini it is a shame that he may miss out on the contract of his life."
Reasons? Who needs reasons when you have oodles of cash.
AND THE REST...
Bristol City have pulled out of a deal to sign Michael Mifsud from Coventry...Hull boss Phil Brown is battling to hijack Stoke's £2million bid to sign Angelos Charisteas...Michael Johnson has been offered a double-your-money five-year deal to stay at Manchester City...Djibril Cisse is set for a move to Roma...Former Arsenal starlet Quincy Owusu-Abeyie is joining Birmingham on loan...Roy Keane has set £13million Spurs duo Steed Malbranque and Younes Kaboul a 24-hour deadline to join Sunderland...Derby will make a fresh bid to sign Marlon King on loan after his move to Hull collapsed...Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will meet with Cardiff in a bid to resolve his contract dispute...Stephen Wright is set to join Coventry...Hungarian goalkeeper Laszlo Koteles is in talks to join Norwich...Wolves want to hijack Ipswich's swoop for Ben Thatcher...MK Dons midfielder Keith Andrews is set for a £2million move to Blackburn...West Brom hope to complete the signing of Madjid Bougherra from Charlton despite interest from Real Betis.

Sky Sports: Arsenal Vs Stuttgart Review 30 July 2008
Samir Nasri made his Arsenal debut as Arsene Wenger's side came from behind to secure a 3-1 win over Stuttgart.
All the goals arrived in the second half and came from the in-form trio of Carlos Vela, Nicklas Bendtner and Jack Wilshere after Yildiray Basturk had put Stuttgart ahead.
In addition to new signing Nasri pulling on a Gunners shirt for the first time, Emmanuel Adebayor made his first pre-season appearance, while former Arsenal keeper Jens Lehmann was in goal for Stuttgart.
Lehmann easily collected an attempted chip from Robin van Persie in the 11th minute, before current Arsenal No.1 Manuel Almunia made a smart save at the near post from Romania striker Ciprian Marica and Nasri fired a 25-yard effort over following a quick counter-attack.
Brilliant reactions
Veteran Lehmann showed brilliant reactions to deny Theo Walcott from point-blank range after he was set up by Van Persie before Bendtner and Vela were introduced at half-time.
However, the Gunners were behind six minutes after the restart when Basturk drilled in a low strike from the edge of the box.
Arsenal were quickly level, though, when Vela, who hit a hat-trick against a Burgenland XI on Monday, finished emphatically from Bendtner's pass.
Bendtner had scored four goals 48 hours earlier and chipped in with another pre-season goal when he poked the ball past Lehmann from Vela's pass on 65 minutes.
Wilshere, who had replaced Nasri on the hour mark, completed the scoring late on with his third goal in two appearances courtesy of a crisp shot.

Sky Sports: Salil Muntari is joining Inter Milan
When it became clear to Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho that Frank Lampard had his reservations about joining him, he turned his attention to FA Cup winner Sulley Muntari.
The Ghanaian footballer had an excellent season in the Premier League with Portsmouth and no one was expecting him to go back to Serie A after just one term.
In the space of a year he went from Udinese to Inter Milan, the Italian champions, which says a lot about the plaudits he earned through his performances on the south coast of England.
Last season Muntari improved in front of goal compared to his previous season at Udinese but he had less of the ball at his feet.
He made considerably fewer passes but increased his number of crosses.
Aggressive style
A more aggressive style of play means he attempted more tackles but at the same time he managed to control his temperament a bit better.
However, five red cards and 12 bookings in his last two seasons indicates he can still work harder on his discipline.

Gareth Barry confirms his stay with Aston Villa
Martin O'Neill has expressed his relief after Aston Villa confirmed Gareth Barry would be staying at the club.
Barry had been hankering after a move to Liverpool after declaring a wish to play in the UEFA Champions League.
Liverpool made several bids for the midfielder, but were unable to meet Villa's asking price for the England international.
Villa imposed a deadline for a deal to be agreed, which was not met, leading the Midlands club to announce Barry will not be leaving.
O'Neill is happy the situation has now reached a resolution and is looking forward to having Barry in his plans for the new season.
Anticipation
"Naturally we're all absolutely delighted that Gareth will be staying at Villa Park and relieved that there is resolution and closure to the transfer saga," O'Neill told the club's official website.
"At a very positive meeting on Monday it was agreed between Gareth, his agent, Mr Lerner and myself that a deadline should be communicated to Liverpool to finally resolve the situation.
"Liverpool were informed and that deadline came and passed.
"Now we can all look forward to the season ahead with relief, anticipation and ambition."

Sky Sports: Manchester City sign Ben Haim
Manchester City have completed the signing of Tel Ben Haim from Chelsea for an undisclosed fee.
The Israel international has agreed terms on a four-year contract after productive talks with City boss Mark Hughes.
Ben Haim only joined Chelsea last summer from Bolton but struggled for playing time under first Jose Mourinho and then Avram Grant, with latest incumbent Luiz Felipe Scolari having now sanctioned his departure.
The 26-year-old becomes the second Israeli player to join City, following in the footsteps of former favourite Eyal Berkovic.
Last season captain Richard Dunne and Micah Richards formed an oft-praised central defensive partnership but it seems likely the latter will move to right-back to accommodate Ben Haim this coming campaign.
Although Hughes was in charge at Eastlands when City completed the signing of Jo, negotiations had already started for the Brazilian under the regime of former boss Sven Goran Eriksson.
Hughes has been a long-term admirer of Ben Haim and has moved quickly to make the defender his first signing in Manchester.

Sky Sports: Tottenham sign David Bentley
Tottenham have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Blackburn for England winger David Bentley.
The North London club have been in discussions with their Lancashire counterparts over a deal for the talented 23-year-old.
Bentley spoke at the close of last season of a desire to ply his trade elsewhere and it now looks as though he is heading for the capital.
The two clubs have been engaged in talks on Wednesday and an agreement has now been thrashed out.
It has been anticipated that Bentley could undergo a medical at White Hart Lane on Thursday providing personal terms can be agreed.

Sky Sports: Gunners bring in Bischoff
Arsenal have confirmed the signing of midfielder Amaury Bischoff from Werder Bremen.
The 21-year-old only made one senior appearance for Werder, in their Uefa Cup game against Celta Vigo in 2007.
However, he was a regular in their youth sides and has been identified by Arsene Wenger as a bright prospect for the future.
Wenger will hope he has unearthed another gem and is not likely to hesitate in giving Bischoff the opportunity to impress.
The youngster, who can play in the centre of midfield or on the left, will also give Wenger more options following the departures of Mathieu Flamini, Gilberto and Alexander Hleb.
Bischoff will wear the No.28 shirt at Arsenal and link up with his new team-mates when they return from a training camp in Austria.
Bischoff was born in France but has represented Portugal at Under 21 level.

David Villa & Silva of Spain might leave!!!
The two Spain internationals have attracted interest from a whole host of clubs, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Internazionale among the sides reportedly interested in the Euro 2008 winners.
New Valencia president Vicente Soriano has insisted the star duo will not leave this summer, but Gomez has hinted the financially-stricken club could be powerless to prevent them from doing so.
"On a sporting level, who wouldn't want to count on them?" he told Valencian newspaper Las Provincias.
"I will do everything possible so that they continue with us, the president also has that intention, but we are going to wait.
"I also have no offer on the table, although I will study all those that arrive for any player."
Madrid are said to have made Villa their number one transfer target of the summer after having all but conceded defeat in their bid to sign Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo - although, according to Marca, president Ramon Calderon has told the Real board "either Cristiano Ronaldo comes or no one comes".
Silva's agent, Julio Llorente, claims Atletico Madrid have made a bid for his client, stating that:
"Atletico got in contact with us once and if they really want the player they should talk to Valencia."
Reports in Spain suggest the Atletico have tabled a 22million euro bid for the midfielder.

UDINESE PLAY DOWN INLER REPORTS
Inler has been a revelation since moving to Italy from FC Zurich last summer and his performances at Euro 2008 have seen him linked with several top European clubs, including Premier League sides Arsenal and Newcastle.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who missed just one game last season for the Friuli outfit, is under contract with Udinese until June 2012.
When asked about the Gunners' interest on Inler, Udinese general director Pietro Leonardi was quick to rule out a move.
He said: "This is an absurd story. Nothing is true and the player has even denied this."

Football365: Transfer Gossip 29 July 2008
Now Robbie Keane has finally made his move to Liverpool, attention in the tabs turns to his replacement. The Daily Mirror have a lengthy shopping list for Magic Juande, which includes snapping up both Roman Pavlyuchenko and Diego Milito to play up top. Also, the paper reckons they will use some of the Keane cash to fund bids for the wingers they've been after for some time - namely David Bentley and Sevilla's Diego Capel.
EVERTON USING THE JOHNSON MONEY WISELY?
Andy Johnson seems all set to move to Fulham, and you can read all about that one here. Interestingly, The Daily Mail claims Everton will use the money from the sale of Johnson to bid £10.75million for Darren Bent. Surely, with Dimitar Berbatov apparently spoiling for a move to Manchester United and Keane gone, Spurs won't be dumb enough to sell all of their strikers this summer...will they?
CHELSEA GO OFF ROBINHO
Word in The Independent this morning that Chelsea are growing weary of Real Madrid's stubborn insistence on getting a whole truck-load of cash for their Brazilian trickster Robinho. Real apparently keep upping their asking price for the man identified by Peter Kenyon as Chelsea's only transfer target this summer, and such is their reluctance to keep messing around with Madrid, they will give Shaun Wright-Phillips another chance to make his mark at the Bridge. Having rejected bids of around £25million then £27million for their man, Real have now upped the price tag to £30million, a step too far for the now fiscally-responsible Chelsea.
VILLA IN FOR SHOREY NOW
Having seen poor Wilfried Bouma's ankle flapping in the breeze at the weekend, Martin O'Neill has apparently decided that a left-back is required at Aston Villa. The Daily Star claims that his primary target is Reading's Nicky Shorey, who will set him back the princely sum of £4.5million. With Reading desperate to get their big earner off the wage bill and Villa desperate for cover anywhere in the squad, it's our scholarly opinion that this one has a chance.
BEN HAIM OFF TO CITEH
Word in various papers this morn that Tal Ben Haim is all set to complete a £5million move to Manchester Citeh any time soon. Not much more to say about that to be honest.
AND THE REST...
Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has his eyes on Sweden goalkeeper Johan Wiland and Bosnia international Sead Ramovic...Hull boss Phil Brown is ready to ditch Marlon King and move for PSG striker Pascal Pancrate...Crystal Palace have headed off Arsenal's move for Victor Moses after the 17-year-old agreed a new four-year contract...Kevin Blackwell wants to take Michael Brown back to Sheffield United...Cardiff, Preston and Watford are eyeing Crystal Palace striker James Scowcroft...Ulises de la Cruz is set to complete a move to Watford...Austrian striker Marc Janko is a £1million target for Bristol City...Birmingham are close to signing former Arsenal youngster Quincy Owusu-Abeyie...Blackburn, Stoke, Wigan and Everton are interested in Abdoulaye Faye...Dynamo Kiev defender Badr El-Kaddouri claims Aston Villa want to sign him...Newcastle are on the verge of signing Argentina defender Fabricio Coloccini, according to his agent.

Football365: Football Transfer Gossip 28 July 2008
Quite sensibly, few publications are taking the leaked disclosure from Manchester United that they are ready to withdraw their interest in Tottenham's Dimi Berbatov entirely seriously.
Reports appeared over the weekend claiming that United were considering alternative targets after being told that the Bulgarian would cost £38m. Spurs have displayed a reluctance to do business with United having reported the Old Trafford club to the Premier League over their pursuit of their want-away striker.
Yet, given that their interest in Berbatov is longstanding, the claim that Sir Alex Ferguson has turned his attention elsewhere is being greeted with considerable scepticism. Instead it is being interpreted as an act of brinkmanship that would force Tottenham to consider the implications of not dealing with United. As The Daily Telegraph notes, 'Relations between the two men [Ferguson and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy] are glacial but Levy is a businessman and if United do pull out, he can either keep an unmotivated player at White Hart Lane or try to do a deal with a less-than-fully interested Barcelona.'
WHAT A HOOT
While many of the papers are being sensible, The Daily Star definitely cannot be put into that category. That's 'paper' or 'sensible'.
For they claim, with what presumably is an entirely straight face, that Manchester United are weighing up a £15million move for Thierry Henry.
Yep. Go out and look at a copy (don't buy it, obviously) if you don't believe us.
They seek to justify their lunacy by meekly pointing to some of the other 'left-field' signings made by Fergie in his time at Old Trafford, namely Henrik Larsson and Eric Cantona.
Far more realistic is the suggestion in the same piece that alternatives include Roque Santa Cruz and Klass-Jan Huntelaar.
Now stop being so ludicrous chaps and get back to watching Big Brother.
KEANE ON VERGE OF LIVERPOOL MOVE
Robbie Keane is expected to complete his transfer from Tottenham to Liverpool later today.
According to reports, a £20m fee for the Irish striker has been agreed and Keane is on the verge of finalising his move to Anfield. The Guardian reports that 'Keane will undergo a medical today and his £20m move from Tottenham Hotspur may be completed in time for the forward to make his debut for his boyhood heroes in Liverpool's friendly in Spain against Villarreal on Wednesday.'

BIG EVERTON BID REJECTED
Sporting Lisbon have turned down a 15million euro bid from Everton for star midfielder Joao Moutinho, the Portuguese club confirmed on Sunday.
Moutinho has been linked with a move to the Barclays Premier League outfit all summer and the 21-year-old publicly declared his desire for a transfer recently.
But the Portugal international's pleas have fallen on deaf ears as Sporting have flatly refused to let one of their most promising youngsters leave.
ROMA WANT MALOUDA
Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has admitted the club are interested in Chelsea winger Florent Malouda.
Spalletti is in the market for a new attacking midfielder after seeing Amantino Mancini leave for Inter Milan.
Malouda has been strongly linked with a move to Roma in the Italian media after an indifferent first season at Chelsea. The former Lyon ace failed to establish himself as a regular in the Chelsea starting XI last season and Roma are monitoring his situation.
Spalletti has revealed Malouda and Valencia star David Silva are on his list of targets.
Meanwhile, one winger apparently not leaving Stamford Bridge is Mr Shaun Wright-Phillips, despite the no-doubt near irresistable lure of Portsmouth.
New head honcho Big Phil says the wee man is going nowhere, words that you can read just here.
CESC NOT YET READY FOR MADRID
Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has hinted he is interested in a move to Real Madrid, but poured cold water on the idea he could move to the Bernabeu this summer.
Reports in Spain suggest Madrid president Ramon Calderon, resigned to missing out on Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo, has prepared a big-money offer for the 21-year-old.
But while Fabregas, a product of the Barcelona youth academy, revealed he could move to Madrid in the future, he insists he wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium for the time being.
AND THE REST...
Brimingham City have lined up a £2m bid for Crystal Palace's Ben Watson. Should he go, Palace will use the cash to land Coventry striker Michael Mifsud...Bolton will make a new bid this week for Reading midfielder James Harper...Mark Hughes wants to bring Nigerian left-back Taye Taiwo to Manchester City...Michael Owen will sign a new contract at Newcastle in the next two to three weeks...Kanu has finally agreed a new one-year deal at Portsmouth...Celtic left-back Lee Naylor is an Aston Villa target after Wilfred Bouma's horror ankle injury at the weekend. The deal could see forward Shaun Maloney return to Celtic...Mick McCarthy and Wolves are ready to hijack Ben Thatcher's move to Ipswich...Michael Chretien has snubbbed a move from Nancy to Manchester City in favour of £3m switch to Real Betis...Coventry have offered former Liverpool right-back Stephen Wright a deal...Portsmouth will offer Celestine babayaro a one-year deal now he has beaten malaria...Palermo have triggered a Premier League scramble after they confirmed midfielder Mark Bresciano can leave for £5m.

Football365: Fabregas Not Ready for Madrid
Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has hinted he is interested in a move to Real Madrid, but poured cold water on the idea he could move to the Bernabeu this summer.
Reports in Spain suggest Madrid president Ramon Calderon, resigned to missing out on Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo, has prepared a big-money offer for the 21-year-old.
But while Fabregas, a product of the Barcelona youth academy, revealed he could move to Madrid in the future, he insists he wants to stay at the Emirates Stadium for the time being.
"I didn't tell Ramon Calderon no," he told Spanish sports daily Marca.
"I told him that now wasn't the time to go to Madrid.
"That you are wanted by Madrid, one of the biggest teams in history, is important."
Fabregas enjoyed a great summer as he helped Spain end their 44-year wait for a trophy at Euro 2008.
Domestically, however, for the third year on the trot, the midfielder ended yet another season empty-handed.
And the young star, who feels he would be certain to lift a trophy should he opt for the Spanish champions, admits another season without any silverware could see him head for the exit door.
"To be four seasons without winning any titles would be too much for me," Fabregas added.
"Real Madrid are the favourites to win La Liga this year."
Arsenal's trophy-less season was made even more painful as rivals Manchester United swept all before them at home and in Europe.
Fabregas is in no doubt that the man who made the difference for United would be a big success at the Bernabeu.
"The league and the Champions League that United won this season was because of Cristiano," he continued. "At Madrid he would help them win titles."

Football365: Robbie Kean Joins Liverpool Today
Robbie Keane is expected to complete his transfer from Tottenham to Liverpool later today.
According to reports, a £20m fee for the Irish striker has been agreed and Keane is on the verge of finalising his move to Anfield. The Guardian reports that 'Keane will undergo a medical today and his £20m move from Tottenham Hotspur may be completed in time for the forward to make his debut for his boyhood heroes in Liverpool's friendly in Spain against Villarreal on Wednesday.'
The player is thought to have been offered a five-year deal worth £80,000 a week. Rafa Benitez has made no secret of his wish to sign Keane - prompting Spurs to report Liverpool to the Premier League - and pair the diminutive Irishman with Fernando Torres.

Football365: Football Transfer Gossip 27 July 2008
Conflicting reports this morn over the future of Dimitar Berbatov.
The short version is that a few papers reckon Manchester United have baulked at Spurs' £38million asking price, while The Sunday Express expects a deal to be done by the end of next week.
Who's right? Who knows. Make your own mind up by drinking in the details here.
Meanwhile, The People reckon Spurs will replace Berbatov and Robbie Keane with Andrei Arshavin and Roman Pavlyuchenko.
REAL TURN THEIR ATTENTION TO CESC
We all knew it would happen eventually, but probably not until next summer.
The News Of The World claims that Real Madrid have finally given up in their chase for Cristiano Ronaldo, and have instead turned their grubby little gaze to Cesc Fabgregas once again.
It all whiffs a little bit to us, and the paper tries to back up their claims with the justification 'the Gunners have a history of selling their best players'.
CHELSEA'S BRAZILIAN FUN
We suspect the The Observer may have been struggling for a football lead this Sunday.
In a story full of ifs and even fuller of buts, they claim that should Chelsea manage to sign Kaka then he will earn the frankly ridiculous sum of £1million a month, which after much consultation with an abacus, calculator and an accountant works out at £250,000-a-week.
Christ.
They seem to base their story on some hugely spurious quotes from a 'Milan source', which read thus: 'Kaká's contract gives him €9million in its first season and rises by a million euros for each of its five years. To better that, Chelsea will have to begin at more than £200,000 a week.'
And all of this is ignoring the fact that Kaka's agent - a species who famously like to bat away offers of stacks and stacks of cash - said only yesterday that his man is quite happy where he is, thanks very much.
Sounds like a done deal to us.
Away from that guff, The Sunday Telegraph reckons that Chelsea have put in a bid for £31.5million for Robinho to Real Madrid, but will have to bump that up to £35million if they want to get their man.
TOON GET DESPERATE
Amusing stuff in The Mail On Sunday, but not if you're a Newcastle fan.
The contradictory Word in that esteemed rag is that good old Keggy is looking to shore up his defence, but will instead spend £4million on Phillipe Senderos.
The Mail go on to claim that if Senderos is sold, it might indicate Arsenal are in financial difficulties. Alternatively, it might indicate Senderos is rubbish and if someone is dumb enough to pay that much for him then they should snap their hands off.
STRIKING OPTIONS
Interesting stuff from The People about Everton's striking situation.
They report Andy Johnson won't be allowed to join Fulham until Everton have a replacement. Diego Milito, Craig Bellamy and Darren Bent are possible targets.
SPIT
A deal that looks like going through pretty soon is El-Hadji Diouf's move to Sunderland.
Various papers quote various prices from £2.5million to £5million, but whatever the fee it looks like it's happening.

Movie: Mission Istanbul (2008)
*ing: Zayed Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Shreya Saran, Shabbir Ahluwalia, Shweta, Nikitin Dheer
Guest Stars: Sunil Shetty and Abhishekh Bachchan
Verdict:1 out of 5 (1/5)
The Good:
- ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
- Shabbir Ahluwalia
- Vivek Oberoi's so-so performance
- Sunil Shetty is the producer of the film and he has a terrible guest appearance
- Over hyped movie
- Zayed Khan sucked.......... He should not even try acting..... I think he has forgetten the very basics of acting

- Worst than Tashan
- Over acting by Nikitin Dheer & the entire action bit of the film
- The english one liners are extremely cheesy and out dated
This film was the worst Hindi Film of Summer 2008. It is very hard to believe when Zayed Khan says that this is the most important film of his career and honestly he should quit now. He simply showed no skills in the acting department. He had alot of screen time and simply did not shine. He lost his Main Hoon Nah charm. There are two different Zayed Khan's when you watch this film... he simply dissapoints.
Vivek Oberoi overacts with his so-called macho attitude and his is not convincing as a Turkish Military Officer... he is Indian and they are passing him as a Turkish man... unbelievable!!!
The action is unbelievable and seriously it looks like a dozen english action films were ripped off by the producers and directors of this film.
I warn you .... DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM.

- Celina Jaitley cant act
- Hansika Motwani is just incapable of even making an effort to act. Her squeeky voice in the second half of the film was just annoying.
- Inconsistency in the message being sent out
I recommend this film for Govinda fans. The pleasant surprise in this film are the performances by Ravi Kishan, Archana Puran Singh, Manoj Bajpai and Govinda.
Do not watch this film with any expectations because you will be dissapointed. There are just about 5 comical scenes otherwise it is a complete miss on being an entertainer.

UNITED AGREE TEVEZ DEAL
Hopefully you'll have spotted the news that Manchester United have agreed a deal for Mr Carlos Tevez. If not, firstly I'd pay more attention, but secondly, click here. VILLA OPEN TO SPURS MOVE And you also may have seen those juicy quotes from David Villa's agent saying he might be interested in moving to Spurs. No? Click here then.
KEANE SET FOR LIVERPOOL MEDICAL
Speculation continues apace about Robbie Keane's impending move to Liverpool. The Daily Mail claims Keane is due at Anfield at the start of next week for a medical, ahead of a move that will cost £18million intially, but could rise to £20million should Liverpool win the Premier or Champions League. No sniggering at the back. The Sun reports similar news, and goes on to claim that Rafa Benitez will turn his attention away from Gareth Barry, and instead make a bid for Valencia's David Silva. With Los Che in oodles and oodles of debt, Silva will apparently be a smidgen cheaper than Barry, and will provide a hell of a lot more hassle.
NEW SUITORS FOR XABI?
However, should Liverpool find someone else to stump up for Xabi Alonso, they might come back in for Barry. And The Daily Mirror reckons they have found someone, and that someone is Fenerbache. Now, whether it's another textbook piece of 2+2=5 rumour-mongering we're not sure, what with Luis Aragones being Fener's new boss, but hell - we're just the messenger.
ROBINHO 'DESPERATE' TO JOIN CHELSEA
The Independent reports that Brazilian party-boy Robinho is 'desperate' to leave Real Madrid and sign for Chelsea. They claim a deal is more or less in place to take the 24-year-old to Stamford Bridge in exchange for the meaty sum of £25million. The paper quotes a 'source' (him again) as saying Robinho will do whatever it takes to secure the move, including making a - gasp! Shock! Horror! - statement against the Spanish champions. That's right kids - you read right - a statement. If you listen carefully, you can probably hear Ramon Calderon quaking in his boots.
POMPEY TO NICK KABOUL?
Who thought that Younes Kaboul's transfer from Spurs could be so very interesting? Sunderland thought they had their man on Thursday, only for him to ask for more time as Aston Villa came in with a late bid. Now, The Sun claims that Portsmouth will gazump the pair of them and take the French 'defender' to Fratton Park. The cheeky scamps.
CITEH TO NICK FRIEDEL?
And in more cheeky news, The Independent reports that Manchester City will nip in ahead of Aston Villa to sign Brad Friedel from Blackburn. The big American was given permission to speak to Villa on Friday as Paul Robinson completed his move from Spurs to Ewood Park. However, if Citeh fail then The Sun reckons they will go for Fulham's Antti Niemi instead. Complicated it may be, but at least something is bloody happening.
AND THE REST...
Everton boss David Moyes will use the Andy Johnson transfer cash to buy Sporting Lisbon's Joao Moutinho...Middlesbrough have blocked Rangers' bid to sign Adam Johnson...Hull have signed Tottenham's Anthony Gardner on a six-month loan...Michael Mifsud's £1m switch from Coventry to Bristol City has hit a snag...Portsmouth have snatched Younes Kaboul from under the noses of Sunderland and Aston Villa...Leicester have signed Liverpool centre-back Jack Hobbs on a season-long loan...Birmingham are lining up a new £2m bid for Crystal Palace's Ben Watson...Nottingham Forest have signed Carlisle striker Joe Garner for £1.2m...Roque Santa Cruz wants clear-the-air talks with Blackburn after being linked with a £15m move to Manchester City...Sulley Muntari's £12m move to Inter Milan means Portsmouth can go for Shaun Wright-Phillips and Nickey Shorey...West Brom are in talks with Bolton to sign Abdoulaye Meite...Andy Johnson's £10.5m move to Fulham has moved a step closer...Rangers inability to agree terms with Fulham's Steven Davis could signal a move for him by Blackburn.

Is Ritesh Deshmukh Gay? NO...... Sajod Khan
He is questioned about his sexual orientation by both Sajud Khan and Malaika Arora. An obvious angry man began loosing his cool with the baseless accusations of being GAY and confronts Sajid Khan.
The rest is on video.... Ritesh Deshmukh is one of the only new actors who can actually act and is also known for his committed work. It is shameful to watch what goes on tv these days in the name of entertainment.

GUARDIOLA REFUSES TO COMMENT ON DUO
Let's start with some good old copy and paste from another part of this fantastic website.
'Josep Guardiola has refused to be drawn on speculation linking Barcelona with Barclays Premier League stars Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Adebayor.
'Guardiola was remaining tight-lipped after watching Barca cruise to a 6-0 friendly win over Hibernian at Murrayfield in his first game in charge on Thursday night.
'"I'm not here to speak about them. I have many excellent players and I am working with them. All good players are interesting and those players are interesting but there are many, many good players, in England, Germany, everywhere," he said. "Except Scotland," he didn't add, but should have done.
'Asked whether he was preparing to make a bid, Guardiola added: "I don't know. The sporting director can talk about that better than me."'
You can read more about it over here, but hurry back...
ANOTHER REAL PLAYER SAYS RONALDO WANTS TO JOIN
Another day, another Real Madrid player in the press talking about Ronaldo. Pepe's on duty today.
"It's normal he wants to come. If he comes to Madrid he'll be welcomed by everyone," said the Portuguese defender.
"The directors, players and fans welcome you here - Cristiano won't have a problem.
"He has said many times that he likes Madrid. He knows the great history of Madrid and the club that it is."
MUNTARI ALL BUT AN INTER PLAYER
Just as a note, since you've no doubt seen it everywhere: £12.7m is expected to seal Sulley Muntari's signature for Inter by the end of Thursday.
What 'Arry will do with all that moolah remains to be seen. A bid of anything between £8m and £11m for Shaun Wright-Phillips wouldn't surprise anyone, after the Pompey manager banged on about how much he'd like to sign him the other week.
Meanwhile, Monaco have denied they ever made an offer for Nico Krancjar.
NEW GOSSIP! NEW GOSSIP! NEW GOSSIP!
It's not that interesting, but it isn't one of the same tired old stories. Roy Keane will carry on his summer transfer spending by splashing £7m on Marseille defender Taye Ismaila Taïwo.
'Taïwo, 23, was named African young player of the year two years ago, 12 months after he helped Nigeria to reach the World Youth Championship final. He joined Marseilles four years ago,' says The Times.
'If a deal is completed, Taïwo could join a new-look Sunderland defence that could include Younès Kaboul, the Tottenham centre back who will have a medical today after agreeing personal terms, two days after Teemu Tainio joined from White Hart Lane, with Pascal Chimbonda set to follow.'
However, part of that could be out of date already (the joys of the modern age, eh?), with reports that Aston Villa are looking to hijack the Kaboul deal, and the player isn't quite convinced by those personal terms he agreed. Keep an eye on this one - he could be signed up by lunch, or he could be off to the midlands. We just don't know.
AND TALKING OF SPURS AND VILLA...
'The transfer of Robbie Keane to Liverpool moved closer last night when the Ireland forward was omitted from the Tottenham Hotspur squad for a friendly match in Spain, with the Merseyside club hoping to conclude an £18million deal this weekend. Despite their complaint to the Premier League about Liverpool's conduct, Tottenham are resigned to selling their vice-captain, as underlined by his absence from a 19-man squad when Juande Ramos's team took on Hercules in Alicante,' is the big story in The Times.
But what's good news for Robbie is bad news for Gareth.
'The imminent breakthrough over Keane would raise further doubts about Liverpool's protracted bid to sign Gareth Barry from Aston Villa. Despite having raised £20million this summer by offloading Scott Carson, John Arne Riise, Danny Guthrie and Peter Crouch, Rafael BenÃtez, the Liverpool manager, has been told that there are insufficient funds to proceed with deals for his two principal targets.'
BLACKBURN TURN THEIR ATTENTION TO PENNANT
Having decided against making a bid for Segundo Castillo, Paul Ince will instead try to sign Jermaine Pennant, according to the Daily Mail.
That could signal that David Bentley is set to join Spurs, meaning Paul Robinson is set to join Blackburn, meaning Brad Friedel is set to join Aston Villa...we're getting dizzy...
AND THE REST
Norwich boss Glenn Roeder has targeted Leicester striker Steve Howard and is planning a £1.25million bid...Nolberto Solano is set to join Anorthosis Famagusta after his release from West Ham...Leeds have had a £300,000 offer for striker Jay Bothroyd accepted by Wolves...Stoke have joined Ipswich in the chase for Nurnberg's Greek striker Angelos Charisteas...QPR striker Daniel Nardiello is to join Blackpool as a makeweight in the controversial deal for Kaspars Gorkss...Wigan striker Emile Heskey is a shock £6million target for Panathinaikos...Stoke want to sign Angelos Charisteas from German side Nurnberg but are struggling to come up with the £5million asking price...Crystal Palace want £2million for Birmingham and QPR target Ben Watson.

Barry to Arsenal - Is it Possible??
Arsene Wenger may have expressed himself 'comfortable' with the sale of Alex Hleb to Barcelona but the Arsenal boss reportedly finds himself stuck with a rather less comfortable predicament. The Frenchman needs a new central midfielder and has money to spend but is being confronted by a shortage of options in the market while his most viable target is overpriced. Who says football management is easy?
Wenger's dilemma will become all the more pressing over the next twenty-four hours when Gilberto Silva, the last member of the Gunners' 'Invincible' side of 2003/04 still at the club, finalises his move to Panathinaikos. Following the lead of Lassana Diarra and Mathieu Flamini, the Brazilian will be the third central-midfielder to leave the Emirates this year, leaving just Denilson, Abou Diaby and 17-year-old Aaron Ramsey as possible partners for Cesc Fabregas during the coming season.
Gareth Barry is the obvious solution to fill the void but not at Martin O'Neill's valuation. 'Wenger is still unconvinced that Gareth Barry is value for money at the £18m asking price at Aston Villa,' reports The Independent. With his move to Liverpool on hold, perhaps permanently so unless Pool can find a buyer for Xabi Alonso, it is Wenger's decision to make. 'The club believe that the England midfielder could be persuaded to come to London,' claims the newspaper - an assertion that is no doubt correct given that Barry's bridges are burnt at Villa and Liverpool have apparently turned their attention to alternative transfer targets.

Barclays Premiership Transfer Gossip July 2008
Bizarre stuff in The Sun. Apparently blissfully ignorant of Rafa Benitez's cash shortage, the paper devotes its back page to the claim that Liverpool are 'willing to spend an incredible £20million on Robbie Keane this week' with the twist that this would make him 'one of the world's costliest players' in combined transfer fees. Forget 'bizarre'. It's desperate, pathetically so. To compound the sense of a newspaper out of touch with reality, their response to the news that Juventus won't be funding another bid for Gareth Barry by buying Xabi Alonso is to claim that - instead of nipping in to sign Barry - Arsenal will fund Pool's fifth bid for the Villa midfielder by buying Alonso themselves! 'Alonso's expected move to Juventus has fallen down although Arsenal are now on alert,' the paper assures its readers. 'A source close to Alonso said: "If the decision was down to Xabi, he would make the move because Arsenal's style is perfect for him."' Riiiiigght.
ARSENAL TO BID FOR BARRY
Speculation is rife that Arsenal will make a move for Aston Villa's Gareth Barry in the wake of Gilberto Silva's anticipated departure from north London. The Brazilian has agreed a three-year deal to join Panathinaikos and is due to arrive in Athens this evening for his unveiling. While Silva's value to Arsenal has diminished significantly in recent years, his exit leaves Arsene Wenger with a serious shortage of central midfielders.
CITY MISS OUT AS RONALDINHO JOINS MILAN
Manchester City must look elsewhere for a big-name summer transfer after they were edged out by AC Milan in the battle to sign Barcelona star Ronaldinho. Blues owner Thaksin Shinawatra had targeted the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year as the marquee signing that would kickstart Mark Hughes' first season in charge at Eastlands but despite reportedly offering more than the £19.8million Barca have accepted from the Rossoneri, they have lost out. According to Milan, they have reached an agreement in principle to sign the 28-year-old Brazilian on a three-year deal, subject to passing a medical later today and finally ending City's audacious bid for his services.
TOTTENHAM: BERBATOV ISN'T FOR SALE
Tottenham Hotspur are so determined to retain Dimitar Berbatov that they have refused to enter into talks with Manchester United over the striker, according to reports. Flatly contradicting previous claims that the two clubs are close to reaching an agreement to transfer Berbatov for a fee in the region of £30m, The Guardian claims that 'Tottenham indicated yesterday that they do not intend to negotiate with Manchester United or any other interested party.'
SPURS FIGHTING FOR BENTLEY
Tottenham are thought to have held talks with Blackburn Rovers yesterday over a deal for David Bentley but reports claiming that a £17million transfer has been agreed may prove premature after Rovers manager Paul Ince said he did not want to sign prospective makeweight Paul Robinson. Although Ince confirmed in the aftermath of Rovers' friendly at Macclesfield - a game that Bentley missed due to a minor thigh injury - that Aston Villa had made a bid for the want-away winger, Spurs are at the head of the queue for the England international.
KEANE KEEN ON NO-PRICE SAHA
Roy Keane is set to sign another of his former team-mates from Manchester United. According to the Mail, the Sunderland boss is poised to move for Louis Saha after the Premier League champions indicated they would let the forward go on a pay-as- you-play deal. United are so keen on offloading Saha that they are reportedly ready to let him go for free, initially at least. 'The forward's £3.5m-a-year salary has scared off would-be suitors, but Keane believes the player would represent good value if he can be persuaded to take a pay cut to move to the Stadium of Light,' claims the Mail. 'The Sunderland manager is also weighing up a move for Tottenham's Steed Malbranque, and is keeping tabs on Andy Johnson. However, the striker favours a move to Wigan.'
